BUP Danderyd 2 provides modern, specialized outpatient child and adolescent psychiatric care. We are responsible for the assessment and treatment of psychiatric conditions in children and young people up to 18 years of age, with our primary catchment area in Täby and Österåker. The clinic is part of BUP Stockholm, which offers care at several levels – from outpatient services to inpatient care.

Our clinic is located at Vendevägen 90 in Danderyd, with good transport links via the Roslagsbanan train line, as well as bus or subway connections to Mörby Centrum and Danderyd Hospital. Here, you will meet a diverse patient group with a wide range of psychiatric issues and varying levels of functioning. Work is conducted according to a stepped-care model, where interventions are adapted to the individual's needs in accordance with BUP Stockholm's guidelines. Our staff consists of approximately 30 employees with both broad and specialized competencies, including psychologists, social workers, physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. Many have extensive experience working in child and adolescent psychiatry. We work in a cross-professional manner within structured frameworks that enable collaboration, collegial support, and joint care planning. Through continuous development work, we strive to strengthen the quality of care and safeguard employees' competence, participation, and working environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a specialist physician, you play a central role in contributing medical expertise to the daily work in child psychiatry. You are responsible for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, both regarding medical interventions and neuropsychiatric investigations. The role includes actively contributing to the development and improvement of the clinic's routines and working methods, with the goal of ensuring high-quality, safe patient care. Experience in supervision is meritorious as the position involves supervising resident physicians (ST-läkare).

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a broad interest in child and adolescent psychiatry and possess the competence to investigate, assess, and be responsible for patients' medical treatment. You have good knowledge of diagnostics and pharmacological treatment, and you approach the complexity often characteristic of child psychiatric work with curiosity and flexibility.

Employment Type

The position is a permanent full-time employment with the possibility of part-time work. The work takes place during daytime, Monday-Friday. Start date by agreement.

In patient-related work within the Stockholm County Council healthcare area:

- a register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.

- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.

- in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
