We are looking for you who want to contribute to the development of the Social Work program. The subject of social work is in a development phase with investments in the social work program. As part of the work to strengthen the professional anchoring of the social work program, we are now looking for a university lecturer in social work with a good understanding of and experience in social law and jurisprudence within the areas of operation of social services.

Your working day as a university lecturer

The tasks primarily involve teaching, preferably within the social work program at undergraduate and advanced levels. In addition, course administration and other education-related administrative tasks are included, such as course responsibility and assisting in the coordination of practice-based education.

In the employment, the equivalent of 15% of full-time is allocated for competence development, collaboration, and own administration. There are good conditions to qualify pedagogically through the university's established pedagogical career ladder. There is also the opportunity to participate in research and development projects to the extent that this fits within the framework of the employment.

The work also includes the development of collaboration with external actors and operations. Established forms of cooperation exist with the region as well as private actors within social services and healthcare. Within these, joint projects related to practice-based education, profession-oriented development, and competence development are conducted.

Are you the person we are looking for?

Eligible for appointment as a university lecturer is someone who has demonstrated pedagogical skill and completed a master's degree or an adequate academic vocational education, or has other professional skills that are significant with regard to the subject content of the employment and the tasks that should be included in the employment.

Requirements for this employment:

• Social work degree
• Education in law, legal science, or other education deemed relevant, with a focus on social law or jurisprudence within the areas of operation of social services
• Advanced level degree (master's degree)
• Experience of teaching or supervision in higher education or equivalent
• Ability to independently plan, conduct, and develop teaching
• Good collaboration skills, initiative, and responsibility

Meritorious

• Experience of course responsibility and/or work as an examiner
• Experience of research or development work relevant to social work
• Doctoral degree

The social work program is mainly conducted on campus in Falun. Therefore, great importance will be placed on the applicant's ability to be present at the workplace.

Employment

The employment is permanent, 100%. Probationary employment may be applied upon employment in accordance with Section 6 of the Employment Protection Act (1982:80), with a trial period of up to six months.
