Agtech Sweden and the Knowledge Hub for the Digitalization of Agriculture are looking for 1–2 research assistants to join our team.

About the job

Agtech Sweden, coordinated by Linköping University, is an innovation platform focused on developing technology for sustainable agriculture. The main funders are Vinnova, Linköping University, and Region Östergötland. Today, nearly 170 companies and organizations are part of Agtech Sweden, and new partners are joining all the time.

Agtech Sweden's operations have grown significantly, and we therefore need reinforcement in the form of one or two research assistants who can help with conducting surveys and writing reports, as well as assisting in organizing conferences and trade fairs. The assignment includes interviews and visits to farms, technology companies, and other businesses where innovation projects are being driven.

Linköping University has been appointed by the Swedish Board of Agriculture to be responsible for a national knowledge hub for digitalization in agriculture. The knowledge hub is a broad national effort to highlight the possibilities of digitalization for Swedish agriculture. For the knowledge hub, the tasks include helping with events and designing knowledge materials and reports.

The operations are separate but have overlapping functions, meaning your assignment will touch upon both activities.

About you

To be employed as a research assistant, you must be admitted to higher education at the first or second cycle level. It is an advantage if you are studying at Linköping University.

The work in both operations places high demands on planning, organizational, and strategic skills. The work is complex, so you must be able to juggle many balls at the same time. The work is characterized by high transparency, initiative, quality, and efficient processing. Good cohesion and collaboration are important cornerstones.

You have an interest and a very good ability to communicate, as well as to create and maintain good relationships. This includes the ability to adapt your dialogue in ways that work in different contexts. The assignments require the ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English. The role presupposes that you have an interest in agriculture, food production, and sustainability.

A driver's license is required.

The employment is organizationally located at the Department of Science and Technology (ITN), Division of Business Administration.

About the employment

An employment as a research assistant is regulated in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance.

Scope and start date according to agreement. The approximate scope is 20%, and the employment lasts through the autumn, with a possible extension.
