Do you understand that people absorb knowledge in different ways and can adapt your teaching methods accordingly? Then you could be our new special needs teacher!
Who are we?
Klingsborgsskolan is a school for grades 7–9 located in the Klingsberg district, between Hageby and central Norrköping. We have many exciting developments underway, and we are looking for someone who wants to join us on our journey into the future.
Klingsborgsskolan has recently been renovated, with premises inaugurated in 2020, and we are proud of the facilities at our disposal. From the 2026/2027 school year, we will be a three-stream school with a total of 9 classes distributed across grades 7–9 of the compulsory school system. In addition to the standard compulsory school, the school also hosts an adapted compulsory school unit. This adapted unit operates as a separate school entity with its own principal.
Klingsborgsskolan has previously participated in the project "Collaboration for the Best School". This is a project mandated by the government and implemented by the Swedish National Agency for Education with the aim of improving knowledge results and increasing equity within and between schools.
During the spring term of 2018, a comprehensive analysis and mapping of the school's needs was conducted, resulting in a tailored action plan to guide changes and improvements to achieve desired outcomes. Although the project concluded in the spring term of 2021, development work continues under our own initiative. This is a major investment of which we are proud to have been a part.

Your responsibilities
As one of three special needs teachers with a special pedagogical mandate, you will be part of the school's student health team. During the 2026/2027 school year, you will work with students in grade 8. Your work will involve mapping and systematic follow-up of students' learning and development, with the aim of providing students in need of special support with better conditions for success in school.
You will work with assessments, guidance, and teaching in small groups of students or within the classroom. You will collaborate with teachers, student coaches, the student health team, and school leadership, and you will be part of the Grade 8 work group.
We are a multicultural school where teaching is adapted using a language- and knowledge-developing approach, and lessons are structured according to a common lesson framework.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who hold a degree as a special needs teacher for grades 7–9 and have experience working with language development.
We are a school undergoing positive changes, and we are seeking someone who enjoys working with development and improvement issues. You find joy in learning new things and see opportunities in change.
You are engaged in your work and strive to create an optimal school environment where students are stimulated to learn and develop.
You have the ability to critically and independently conduct in-depth pedagogical assessments at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You demonstrate a deep ability to be a qualified conversation partner and advisor on pedagogical matters for colleagues, guardians, and other relevant parties. You drive and implement various supportive measures for students in need of special support.
