Your Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaged person to join our team as a Systems Engineer in Radio Transmission, with a focus on satellite communications. Here, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced and exciting projects where satellite communications is often a central part of our deliverables. We develop systems for both AEW&C aircraft and land-based systems.

As a Systems Engineer, you are responsible for developing communication solutions, managing, and creating innovative solutions for advanced systems to meet our customers' needs. You design and implement various systems and ensure that the solutions meet both functional and technical requirements. This entails overall responsibility for the system's lifecycle, from requirements analysis to implementation and risk management.

Your Profile

We believe you have some form of technical engineering education, such as a Master of Science in Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and/or substantial work experience in satellite communications and radio technology, preferably related to the Swedish Armed Forces.

You need to be able to take responsibility and have a strong sense of commitment to tasks and projects, as we work across boundaries between sections and projects to achieve our deliverables. Flexibility, willingness to collaborate, drive, and ambition are highly valued, along with a desire to learn new things.

Deep expertise in the field is a great advantage, but with the right attitude and relevant background, there are good opportunities to succeed and grow into the role. You will work in project teams and have one of our experienced engineers as a mentor, but we believe you can work independently with your tasks and deliver efficient and high-quality results.

We consider it a merit if you have experience with one or more of the following:

• Overall system architecture
• Requirements management for customer-specific and product-based systems
• Requirements interpretation
• EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)
• System development
• Product development
• Satellite communications
• Tactical radio
• Integration, test, and verification

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the security clearance regulations in effect at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.

Travel within the scope of the position may occur occasionally per month.
