Studiefrämjandet is a non-partisan and non-religious adult education association that conducts civic education activities throughout Sweden. From a democratic perspective, we assert the equal value of all individuals and their right to knowledge, culture, and education.

Studiefrämjandet is the largest adult education association in Uppsala, where we offer a broad range of cultural activities, including our Music School (Kulturskolan). The Music School is open to all children and young people aged 6–20 and is implemented with support from the Cultural Committee of Uppsala Municipality. The Music School has been operating in Uppsala for 30 years and is located at several sites in the city.

For many years, the Music School has offered voluntary music instruction in piano, violin, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and drums/percussion. For the autumn term of 2026, we are now seeking an engaged violin teacher.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced violin teacher to provide individual lessons to our students. You will be responsible for scheduling lessons and maintaining contact with parents. Teaching takes place after school hours at one or more locations in Uppsala. Currently, this involves one afternoon/evening per week for 14 weeks per term. Depending on student volume, additional teaching days per week may become necessary.

We are looking for someone with a university degree in violin or violin pedagogy. You have substantial experience teaching children and up-to-date knowledge of violin pedagogy. We value your good collaborative skills, pedagogical expertise, and ability to inspire and support students in their individual development. It is important that you are responsible, proactive, and have an outgoing work style with a high degree of service orientation.
