The Local Police District of Southern Lapland is part of the Västerbotten Police District. Within the local police district, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, as well as support and services. The Local Police District of Southern Lapland includes six municipalities with permanent investigators in three of them: Storuman, Vilhelmina, and Lycksele.

As an Investigating Officer, you will play a central role in criminal investigations, and we are therefore looking for you who have a genuine interest in investigating crime. The work can sometimes be intense and therefore requires that you are flexible and at the same time have a good ability to quickly structure, plan, and prioritize the case flow from the operation's holistic perspective.
To be successful in the role, you should have a good ability to make decisions and have a developed communication skill. You should be skilled in using and conveying your knowledge, giving directives, and showing good judgment even under time pressure. You are development-oriented and can, as a result, also inspire and lead others in changes.
As an Investigating Officer, you have many contact surfaces both internally and externally, which requires good cooperation skills and is relationship-building. You have a strong commitment, are receptive, and are eager to engage in employee-driven improvement work.
