YOUR NEW JOB

As a swimming instructor, you are an important part of our team and work in close cooperation with your colleagues. You contribute to students and bathers having a safe, educational, and positive experience in the swimming hall. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for planning and conducting swimming lessons for students in grades 1–6. You motivate and help students develop their swimming skills and feel safe in the water. You document the students' swimming proficiency and maintain dialogue with the responsible PE teachers regarding the students' development.

The position also includes other tasks in the swimming hall, such as cleaning, maintenance of the facility, and staffing the reception and café during evenings and weekends. You provide service to bathers and help create a welcoming and pleasant environment.

In addition to swimming instruction and the other duties, there is an opportunity to lead water aerobics and contribute to developing the facility's offerings. The position is a permanent part-time role at 75% with scheduled working hours, including evenings and weekends.

YOUR COMPETENCE

We are looking for you who are a competent swimmer, receptive, and enjoy working with people. It is meritorious if you have a swimming instructor education or equivalent knowledge, but it is not a requirement. If you are the right person, you will have the opportunity to train in swimming instruction and CPR.

We are looking for you who have a service-oriented approach and a genuine interest in giving our guests and students a positive experience. The work requires that you are secure and stable, with the ability to remain calm and act according to established routines when various situations arise in the swimming hall. You work responsibly and independently, while also collaborating well with colleagues and contributing to a positive atmosphere. As a swimming instructor, you have pedagogical skills and can adapt your communication to the target group. You inspire, create security, and motivate both students and visitors.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

The swimming hall belongs to the Leisure Unit, which covers the municipality's leisure facilities, youth activities, and other matters concerning leisure and club life. The position is located in Vindeln's swimming hall, which is situated next to Renfors School. The swimming hall is small but offers a wide range of activities for both children and adults and has recently been renovated. The pool is 25 meters long with four lanes, and activities here include swimming instruction and water aerobics. A small cafeteria is also available.

REQUIREMENTS

Swimming proficiency is a requirement for the position, and during the recruitment process, you will undergo a work test consisting of swimming 200 meters, including 50 meters on your back, as well as completing a practical rescue exercise in the pool.

For this position, you are required to present a valid extract from the Police Register of Offenses prior to employment.
