About the role

We are currently seeking a Senior Security Consultant who wants to strengthen our offering within security management, civil preparedness, risk management, and crisis preparedness.

The role is clearly customer-facing and consultative, with high demands for trust-building work, business acumen, and independent delivery. You will work on both strategic and operational assignments and move seamlessly between analysis, implementation, and dialogue with executive teams and decision-makers.

Location: Umeå, alternatively Örnsköldsvik – Luleå

Employment: Full-time, Permanent

In this role, you will:

• Conduct risk and vulnerability analyses as well as security assessments
• Develop, implement, and follow up on plans for continuity, crisis management, and incident handling
• Provide advice to managers and executive teams regarding security structure, priorities, and measures
• Identify vulnerabilities in operations, processes, organization, and governance
• Conduct or support internal investigations and operational analyses
• Conduct security interviews and security clearance interviews
• Lead workshops, training sessions, and exercises
• Contribute to sales, proposal work, and the development of long-term customer relationships

Travel is required for this role, primarily day trips with occasional overnight stays.

About you

We are looking for you who is an experienced security specialist or consultant with the ability to combine strategic insight with operational execution.

Experience and Competence

• At least 5–7 years of relevant experience within security, risk, continuity, crisis management, physical security, or related fields
• Documented experience in independently driving customer assignments, investigations, or improvement projects
• Experience working closely with managers, executive teams, or other decision-makers
• Strong ability to conduct risk and vulnerability analyses at both strategic and operational levels
• Good understanding of continuity management, crisis preparedness, incident handling, as well as total defense and civil preparedness
• Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Experienced in presentations, workshops, and qualified customer dialogues

Education

Relevant academic education or equivalent, for example:

• Police education / background within the Swedish Police Authority
• Military college / officer background
• Societal security and crisis preparedness
• Law

Formal Requirements

• Swedish citizenship
• Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance check
• Valid driver’s license (Category B)
• Willingness to travel for work
