What the role entails

As an Information Security Specialist, you work as a consultant on assignments for customers within the defense industry and vital societal functions, where information security is crucial. You drive and support work regarding the accreditation of IT systems, as well as preparing risk assessments and decision support materials prior to operation. In the role, you ensure compliance with regulations such as KSF, ISD, PMFS, and customer-specific security frameworks.

You participate in and lead reviews and consultations, and work closely with architects, technical specialists, and operations. Here you have the opportunity to both deepen your competence and broaden it in related areas - depending on your curiosity and ambition. You also contribute to establishing sustainable and long-term structures for information security in complex environments with high demands.

As the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and pass a security clearance with register check.

What we are looking for

We are looking for you who are confident in your competence but are simultaneously driven to develop further and stay up-to-date within information security. You take responsibility for your delivery and thrive in the consultant role where you need to create structure even in ambiguous assignments. You are communicative, build trust, and value good collaborations, both with customers and colleagues.

You are curious, ask questions, and have a desire to understand both technology and operations in depth. You have the ability to translate requirements into practical and sustainable solutions and thrive in environments where the demand is high and quality is crucial.

You have education in a relevant field and several years of experience in information security. You have worked with risk management, compliance, and security requirements in complex IT environments and have a good understanding of frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or equivalent. You are proficient in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have experience with accreditation work within FMV (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration), the Swedish Armed Forces, or similar operations, as well as knowledge of KSF, ISD, PMFS, or SAAB's internal frameworks. Experience working in environments covered by the Security Protection Act is also a plus. Location is Örnsköldsvik, Umeå, or Luleå, but other locations may be possible upon interest.
