Welcome to Själevad School!

Själevad School is now looking for teachers in Natural Sciences (NO) and Technology to join our team. Själevad is beautifully located by the Mo River, approximately 6 kilometers west of central Örnsköldsvik. We are looking for you who want to be part of our team, where competence, quality, and good relationships are key ingredients in focusing on knowledge development.

If you are new to your profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an induction program for new teachers, which means you will have a mentor during your first year. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualifications who can guide and support you.

Responsibilities

You will teach Technology and Natural Sciences in grades 7–9 and will have overall responsibility for the student group, including managing the associated documentation and contacts. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the job. The role involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching degree with subject eligibility in Technology and Natural Sciences, or other experience that the employer considers suitable.

We are looking for someone who likes to be challenged and think outside the box, seeing differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is second nature to you.

We would appreciate if you have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and the ability to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are responsive, take responsibility, are engaged, and creative.

Please attach a CV and a cover letter with your application.

We look forward to receiving your application!

In the event of employment, an extract from the Police Register must be shown to the employer.

At the Education Administration, we work to create good conditions for every child's and student's learning, development, and creativity. We want to create a safe and inspiring learning environment where the desire to learn is in focus, and where children, students, and staff meet each other with respect.

In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Approved documents include a passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, an extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record register is required. We appreciate language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

In our municipality, a number of positions are classified for security, so security clearance checks may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
