About Kramfors School

Kramfors School is centrally located in Kramfors, close to both the bus and train stations. The school is a unit for primary school grades 4–6 with approximately 300 students. The unit also includes adapted primary school for grades 1–9 and an after-school center.

Everything we do should be permeated by safety, engagement, and hope for the future. In our work with the students, we focus on health-promoting factors and the students' strengths. We also work on the premise that good relationships between students and adults are a crucial foundation for learning and development.

Collaboration and shared responsibility are key foundations in our operations. Through good communication, cooperation, and collaboration, we create conditions for both student development and a good work environment for everyone. We see movement, breaks, and social interactions as important parts of students' development, both academically and socially. A safe school environment with security, well-being, and study peace is created through clear structures, good communication, and close collaboration between all staff and guardians.

Who We Are Looking For

We are now looking for a special teacher with a focus on intellectual disability.

Job Responsibilities

As a special teacher with a focus on intellectual disability, you work to create accessible, structured, and safe learning environments where students are given the opportunity to develop academically, socially, and personally. The role involves working according to the school's guiding documents, curriculum, and national goals, where teaching is designed to promote students' knowledge development, security, and study peace.

You collaborate closely with other teachers, student resources, student health services, guardians, and external actors. As a special teacher, you are also responsible for leading and coordinating the work of student resources regarding the students. This means planning and structuring the pedagogical work in the student group and contributing to clear working methods and pedagogical strategies. You participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to the development of teaching and support measures.

Teaching is designed with the support of clarifying pedagogy, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and a low-affective and relational approach. Teaching can take place in a class, in smaller groups, or individually.

Our Platform for Management and Leadership guides us in daily work and contributes to equal quality throughout the entire school unit. The platform clarifies our common processes, roles, and responsibilities and is an important foundation in our work. Systematic quality work is a central part of operations and is used continuously to develop teaching, organization, and learning environments with the goal of increasing student goal achievement.

Placement, grades, classes, and subjects may vary during the year and between different school years based on operational needs. The position includes mentorship for students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with a special teacher degree or equivalent competence. A special teacher degree is highly meritorious and may be required in the long term.

You also have:

  • Documented good collaboration skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Very good ability to build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
  • Ability to adapt teaching and interaction based on students' daily condition and needs.
  • A secure, structured, and professional approach in various student situations.
  • A low-affective approach and focus on contributing to calm and stability.
  • Very good leadership skills and ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Ability to lead staff in the daily work regarding students.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability, and a holistic assessment of education, experience, and personal qualities will be made.

Employment Conditions

Employment Type: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-13.
