The unit's operations rest on three pillars – development, education, and wartime unit production. For the Swedish Armed Forces' units to function, they need working equipment, and for this, FMTS is a crucial cog. FMTS has a functional responsibility for the technical service within the Swedish Armed Forces, which includes monitoring technological development to anticipate future needs and proposing changes and improvements. There are exciting development opportunities for those interested in technology, at both basic and highly advanced levels. FMTS trains officers, specialist officers, and civilian employees in technical services across all branches of the armed forces. We also train conscript soldiers in areas such as logistics. The Swedish Armed Forces have a strong value base built on openness, results, and responsibility. Professional development and personal health are valued and encouraged. There are good opportunities for internal career mobility, wellness programs, and a good work-life balance. The Swedish Armed Forces leverage the qualities that diversity and gender balance bring to the operations. Therefore, we welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences in our recruitment. Employment with us involves placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is usually required. Security clearance with register check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad, but the meaning of this varies depending on the type of position. A CV and personal letter must be attached to the application for employment. If you proceed in the recruitment process, certified copies of grades and certificates must always be presented.
