We work to ensure that the Swedish Transport Administration's assets receive the protection they need. ESB is a governing and supporting function that works within several different areas, such as information security, physical security, security clearance, and total defense. It can generally be said that ESB focuses heavily on supporting management, managers, and employees with strategies, guidelines, routines, training, and advice.

The unit consists of 15 people, where you will work together with our Information Security Manager and other resources supporting information security at the Swedish Transport Administration. To get started in the role and familiarize yourself with the operations, a comprehensive induction program is offered, planned based on your specific background. Information security is also a field in constant development, so we view positively your interest and willingness for further education in the area.

The Swedish Transport Administration's information security work is highly prioritized, and we are strengthening our central information security function. As an authority subject to requirements under the Cyber Security Act and as an operator with security-sensitive operations (requirements for security clearance), our information security work is both challenging and interesting. Your experience and competence are therefore important for the continued work of strengthening the Swedish Transport Administration's information security. You will join a dynamic operation in an exciting phase of development, where you will have excellent conditions for personal development and expanding your role.

Your workplace is located in Norrköping. Travel for work purposes may occur.

Responsibilities

In your work, you will:

• Develop and support the Swedish Transport Administration's information security work.
• In collaboration with the Information Security Manager and others within the function, coordinate and strengthen information security work, including through our information security management system.
• Advise and support the Swedish Transport Administration's departments and units with analyses, propose security measures, and plan and follow up on measures in the area. The work also includes leading risk assessments and activities to classify data information, as well as follow-up measures.
• Identify, initiate, and actively participate in initiatives to improve information security.
• Create, develop, and maintain governing and supporting documents within information security.
• Provide advice and support to the organization on matters related to information security.
• Act as a support and requirement setter towards operations, the IT organization, and external suppliers within the information security area.
• Work with training and other information measures to increase understanding and knowledge of information security.

Your work is directed by the Information Security Manager and is otherwise anchored and conducted in close collaboration with operations, the IT organization, and relevant functions.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who…

• Has knowledge and professional experience within the field of information security, including from the ISO 2700x series.
• Is familiar with the laws, regulations, and directives that govern information security work within public operations.
• Has an academic education related to information security or other relevant education in this context.
• Has good general IT knowledge and an interest in digitalization issues.
• Can express yourself fluently in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you can demonstrate relevant certifications within the field of information security. Experience of auditing information security or experience of further developing ISMS in an authority or other public organization is also meritorious.

How and when?

This recruitment is for a permanent position expected to be filled as soon as possible.

The Swedish Transport Administration may apply a six-month probation period.

The position may involve war-time placement at the Swedish Transport Administration.

The position may require Swedish citizenship. Security screening with register check may be conducted before an offer of employment.
