We are looking for you who want to work in a dynamic agency that works with the government's and parliament's mandate to create conditions for better living conditions for people living in poverty and oppression. You are interested in working with issues related to internal governance and control, with a special focus on financial planning and monitoring. Developing and continuously improving operations and methods is something that engages you.

The position is located on the Europe Division. As a Division Controller, you are part of the division's management group and provide managers with advice and support in governance and control matters. The role involves coordinating the division's financial management within the framework of Sida's annual cycle and continuously monitoring the division's financial results. You contribute to change and monitoring work through analyses and proposals for improvements, and are a key person in the division's work with the internal control environment.

You work at our office in Rissne, Sundbyberg.

Responsibilities

  • Financial management and monitoring at the division level, including coordination and development of the division's quality work.
  • Work broadly with internal governance and control at the division level.
  • Work proactively to guide and provide advice and support regarding regulations and the correct handling of state funds.
  • Act as support to division and unit managers in matters concerning economy, governance, control, etc.
  • Develop operations together with other functions on the division and the agency as a whole.

Qualifications

Education

  • University degree or other education and/or experience that the employer deems relevant.

Language

  • Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
  • Good knowledge of English in both speech and writing.

Work Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience in working with economic and operational management, particularly financial planning and monitoring.
  • Experience in working with quality assurance of economy and operations based on rules, guidelines, and method instructions.
  • Experience in analyzing quantitative and qualitative information, compiling it, and communicating it to different target groups.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.

Merits

For this role, it is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working with internal governance and control at a Swedish agency.
  • Experience with risk management in state operations.

Good to Know

The position is a temporary vacancy until further notice, but no later than August 2027. Start date September 2026.

Sida offers the possibility of remote work to some extent if it works for the operations.
