SiS Youth Home Vemyra, located outside Sollefteå, receives school-aged boys up to 16 years old with psychosocial problems, as well as those involved in crime and substance abuse.
Job Description

The placed young people are boys up to 16 years old. All students study all subjects in the compulsory school curriculum and have a scheduled teaching time of at least 23 hours per week. Teaching is conducted full-time in small groups. It is important to have a positive attitude and belief in each individual's developmental potential. Collaboration with, for example, nurses, treatment pedagogues, etc., is therefore an important part of your duties. Many of us work together with care and have a holistic perspective regarding the young people.
Qualifications
You need to be drawn to teaching and building trusting pedagogical relationships in small groups consisting of students with psychosocial problems and involvement in crime. It is important that you can identify and meet the student's needs with high realistic expectations and motivate and lead the student towards their goals. We appreciate that you are unpretentious, flexible, can set and maintain boundaries in a respectful way, and have faith that all students can find a path to education and work.
You are secure, stable, and calm, even in stressful situations. You have good cooperation skills, high social competence, and a positive view of students. You also understand the importance of adapting to changed circumstances and see the benefits of changes. You are proactive and participate in development work to achieve the school's goals and always take responsibility for your tasks by planning, organizing, and prioritizing the work in an effective manner.
