We are now looking for an engaged dental nurse who understands the importance of good service and respectful treatment

Main duties and responsibilities

The Specialist Clinic for Endodontics in Gothenburg is a referral center for the treatment of conditions affecting the dental pulp and surrounding tissues. We are a team of 25 employees seeking to add another dental nurse to our group. The clinic's main task is to treat referred patients. We also provide specialist training for dentists. All employees participate in clinical supervision within the program based on their competence.

The specialist dental care and training clinics in Gothenburg, located at Odontologen, constitute Folktandvården's university dental care. This means that the clinic actively participates in the basic education of dentists, contributes to dental research, and is part of developing dental care throughout the region.

We work with continuous improvements as we want to develop our clinic and provide the best care, health, and service to our patients, referrers, and employees. We are keen on ensuring that everyone feels involved in the clinic's goal description and development.

The position primarily includes:

• Assisting with examinations, treatments, and surgeries

We also work with clinical education of dentists at the dental program at the University of Gothenburg. Supervision/assistance of students may also become part of the role.

Competency requirements and profile

• Trained dental nurse with education from MYH (The Swedish Agency for Higher Vocational Education)
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Ability to independently handle administration
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and wise manner
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a listening manner
• Contribute to the development of the operation by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually designed supervision program during the initial period. The supervision program is part of our two-year development program for newly graduated dental nurses.

About the recruitment process

If you are not already employed by us, you will be contacted by recruiters from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager selects candidates and invites them for an interview at the clinic.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and burden registers before employment.
