The Customer Center is the municipality's consolidated service function and the natural entry point for residents, businesses, and visitors. Through broad competence, high accessibility, and close collaboration with the business unit and other operations, we strive to resolve as many inquiries as possible at first contact. When specialist competence is required, we take responsibility for safe, efficient, and cohesive guidance through the municipality. In this way, we contribute to both easier contact with the municipality and a stronger business climate.
The Municipal Executive Office supports three boards: the Municipal Executive Board, the Building and Environment Board, and the Community Planning Board. The administration employs approximately 135 staff and is divided into the central office area, the building and environment area, and the community planning and growth area, which includes business services and the customer center.
A day as a Municipal Guide in the Customer Center
As a Municipal Guide, you are part of the municipality's first point of contact with residents, businesses, and visitors. No two days are alike. One moment you are helping an entrepreneur with a establishment issue, the next you are guiding a resident to the right department or answering questions via phone, email, or in person.
The majority of the work consists of providing professional service, handling incoming calls on the municipality's switchboard, directing callers to the correct function, and ensuring that anyone contacting the municipality receives help in a simple, fast, and correct manner.
The Customer Center works closely with the municipality's other operations and has a broad network within the entire organization. We collaborate daily with, among others, the building and environment department, social services, child and education services, technical operations, the secretariat, and other support functions.
We are also in an exciting phase of development where the Customer Center, together with business services, is developing the future of municipal service. This means we are gradually strengthening our mission within business services, relocation services, and establishment issues. As a casual employee, you will become an important part of this service function and contribute to the municipality maintaining high accessibility even when permanent staff are not present.

The employment is a casual position based on need. The work is primarily performed during daytime on weekdays and may sometimes be offered with short notice.
