The Mission of the Executive Support Unit
The Executive Support Unit is the hub of the Swedish Public Employment Service's (Arbetsförmedlingen) governance and provides the Director General and the Deputy Director General with consolidated support in strategic and agency-wide issues. The unit creates the conditions for management to make decisions on the right basis, at the right time, and with the intended effect. The Executive Support Unit brings together the agency's central functions for strategic direction, structured governance, and management support.
The Executive Support Unit works for a cohesive chain of command from strategic choices to follow-up. This means preparing and quality-assuring materials for the agency's management, combining perspectives from operations, and ensuring that decisions are made from a clear holistic perspective. Through analysis, coordination, and follow-up, the Executive Support Unit contributes to strengthening the agency's implementation capacity.
The Development Control Unit
As part of the Executive Support Unit, the Development Control Unit is responsible, among other things, for developing and managing the agency's performance-driven development. Our responsibility includes being a driving, enabling, and strategic force in the agency's development work. The agency's development control should be based on a holistic view; that strategy, structure, resources, and effect are interconnected.
Job Description
We are looking for a qualified case worker at a strategic level, with the ability to coordinate and develop the agency's development activities. Together with your colleagues, you will work, among other things, to create conditions for efficient and accurate development that harmonizes with the agency's overall governance, where portfolio management clearly and transparently connects with methods and processes for business planning, change management, and value realization.
The role involves coordinating and driving responsibilities and requires the ability to create structure, progress, and clarity in complex issues. You will work on assignments with varying time horizons and scope.
To succeed in the role of qualified case worker at the Executive Support Unit, Development Control Unit, at the Swedish Public Employment Service, you are goal- and results-oriented, have a holistic view, and are proactive. You are also structured, self-initiating, and have good communication and collaboration skills.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The location is Solna. Start date by agreement.
