Region Norrbotten works to make art and culture accessible to both residents and visitors in the county. The Culture Unit is part of the Regional Development department and is responsible for Region Norrbotten's combined efforts in the cultural field, according to the cultural cooperation model. The operations are based on the regional cultural plan and Region Norrbotten's development strategy. The Culture Unit consists of an administrative office as well as the operations of Norrbotten Museum, Norrbotten Music, Norrbotten Regional Library, cultural promoters, and resource centers. In total, approximately 90 people work within the unit.

We are now looking for you who want to contribute to developing and elevating dance in Norrbotten!

We are looking for

We are looking for you who have a university or college education in a relevant area, such as dance, culture, or cultural administration, or equivalent work experience.

You have experience in initiating, leading, and following up on projects, as well as good knowledge of administration, budgeting, and financial follow-up. You also have good digital competence.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Experience working in the dance and/or cultural sector, or related areas
  • Documented experience in project management
  • Experience in building and developing collaboration with various actors, such as in the public sector, associations, or culture
  • Experience in budgeting

Meritorious qualifications include:

  • Education in project management and/or economics
  • Knowledge of the dance field and its conditions
  • Experience in building and developing networks and collaborations
  • Good knowledge of the dance field in Norrbotten
  • Experience working in regional or public organizations
  • Experience in planning and implementing events or activities
  • Established networks within the cultural field in Norrbotten

What you will work with

As a Regional Dance Consultant, you work both strategically and operationally to develop and strengthen the dance field in Norrbotten. You initiate and drive projects, build networks, and collaborate with municipalities, associations, educational activities, and professional dance actors. The assignment has a special focus on creating good conditions for those working with dance in the region, as well as promoting children's and young people's opportunities to encounter and practice dance. In the assignment, you work both independently and in close collaboration with others, which presupposes that you enjoy both teamwork and individual responsibility. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues in cultural promotion activities, where this role is part of the unit's forward work. The assignment also includes environmental scanning and communicating the development and conditions of dance in Norrbotten in various contexts. In addition to the operational work, the role includes administrative tasks such as reporting, selection processes, preparing decision-making materials, and budgeting. You also participate practically in the planning and implementation of events, competence development initiatives, and other activities.

Information about the position

We offer you a permanent full-time position, daytime hours, Monday - Friday. Start date October 2026 or as agreed. Workplace: Luleå, with some physical meetings in Norrbotten. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
