Dietitian at Akademiska Children's Hospital

Our Operations

The Dietitian Department at the Children's Hospital belongs to the Section of Paramedicine for Children, which includes paramedical professions working within the hospital area. Here, licensed dietitians work across all care wards at Akademiska Hospital where children and adolescents requiring dietary treatment and/or nutritional support are located. We also meet families visiting the outpatient clinics at Akademiska Children's Hospital. There, we usually work in teams centered around the child.

Your Role

You will be responsible for the nutritional and dietary treatment of children, meeting with families individually or in conjunction with other professional categories and possibly in groups. The role also involves participating in further education and training for various staff categories. You will see both outpatient and inpatient children at the hospital and provide individual dietary advice to children and adolescents with various medical conditions. Part of your working hours will be dedicated to pediatric obesity, while other areas may include celiac disease and pediatric neurology. Since our operations are dynamic, the specific areas you will be responsible for are not yet fully defined. We cover for each other during absences, allowing us dietitians to specialize in certain areas while maintaining broad knowledge in pediatric care.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed dietitian. Experience in dietitian activities within pediatric care/child health services is advantageous, and familiarity with Cosmic is a benefit. Since you will work independently as well as become part of various teams, your personal qualities are of great importance. We value good teamwork skills, flexibility, and creativity highly.
