Central Hospital Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northern-eastern Scania. Here, qualified and dedicated staff provide advanced emergency care around the clock. CSK combines the resources of a large hospital with the proximity and community spirit of a smaller one. The hospital offers residents in the catchment area care with short waiting times across all specialties. We have approximately 2,600 employees.

The Surgical Department for Planned Operations at Central Hospital Kristianstad focuses on bariatric surgery every other week and other surgical specialties every other week, such as gynecology, lower gastrointestinal surgery, hernia and gallbladder surgery, and potentially other diagnoses. We conduct planned surgical operations for both inpatients and outpatients, as well as reception duties. Our operations encompass the ward, operating room, and recovery unit, meaning we follow the patient through the entire care chain. As part of our operations, we also run an admission ward where patients from various departments at CSK are received and prepared for surgeries and various types of examinations.

On our ward, nurses, nursing assistants, dietitians (with availability in Malmö), and medical secretaries work in close collaboration. The ward is open around the clock, Monday 06:45 to Friday 15:30.

Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities include nursing tasks within pre- and post-operative care. As a nurse, you will also be responsible for follow-up of completed bariatric surgeries, patient counseling, and group discharge conversations.

Qualifications

You are a registered nurse with the eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have a genuine interest in people and your Swedish language skills correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Experience working on a surgical ward is meritorious. Experience with bariatric surgery is also advantageous. We would appreciate if you have knowledge of healthcare administrative systems such as Melior and Orbit.

Furthermore, you are meticulous, secure, stable, and consider patients based on their different needs. It is important that you have a professional attitude towards both patients and relatives.
