The role of a personal assistant is varied and rewarding. Regardless of the specific tasks, you will be making a valuable difference in the life of the person you support. Working hours are flexible and adapted to the client's needs, including day shifts, evening shifts, awake nights, and weekend work.

Important: Please clearly state if you have a driver's license and access to a car, as this may be crucial for some clients to ensure you can travel to the workplace.

Background Checks

If an employment offer is made, you will be required to provide an extract from your criminal record. The requirements differ depending on whether the work involves children or adults.

Working with Children

Work with children with disabilities is subject to background checks according to the Act (2010:479) on background checks of personnel performing certain services for children with disabilities. An extract from the criminal record must be presented as the final step in the recruitment process before employment can commence.

Working with Elderly or Adults with Disabilities

Work in the home of elderly persons or adults with disabilities is subject to background checks according to the Act (2026:43) on background checks when working in the homes of elderly persons or adults with disabilities. The law applies from March 1, 2026. As a company, we have a policy to request an extract from the criminal record upon hiring. The background check is carried out as a final step in the recruitment process and is part of our overall suitability assessment.
