VO Rehab consists of several operations, including:

• Orthopedic Rehabilitation – our new inpatient ward launching in September.
• Day Care at Hässleholm Hospital – a specialist service focused on assessment and neurological rehabilitation of adult patients after illness or injury. Here, we have a well-developed outpatient service with a dedicated team consisting of doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, and secretaries surrounding the patient.
• Tonus Clinic – where we perform botox treatments on patients with muscle spasticity.

As a department, we collaborate closely with primary care, the municipality, and other specialists at Hässleholm Hospital. We also work with patients' networks in society, such as relatives, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, and employers. Our goal and strive for are participation and involvement among our patients. Therefore, we work from a person-centered perspective. Short communication lines and collegiality are great advantages in daily work and create significant patient benefits.

In our work, we apply rehabilitation methodology and strive for patient-centered teamwork where tasks are well integrated and employees complement each other. We have also begun work towards CARF certification.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone interested in rehabilitation who wants to deepen their expertise in this development-intensive area!

As a Specialist Physician in Orthopedic Rehabilitation, you lead the work on an inpatient ward with seven plus two care beds. Patients come from the Orthopedics department at Kristianstad Central Hospital and have fractures that are to be treated conservatively, meaning a decision has been made to abstain from surgery.

In your work at Day Care, you conduct assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with functional and activity limitations after illness or injuries to the nervous system. You lead the teamwork and are medically responsible in interdisciplinary rehabilitation. Responsibilities include structured follow-up, evidence-based methods, and a constant strive for knowledge development. The team surrounding the patient is central to optimizing both care and internal knowledge exchange. In your work, you also participate actively as a supervisor for younger colleagues and in the education of students.

Specialized rehabilitation in the home (SPRIH), as well as work at the Tonus Clinic, may become relevant depending on interest and the department's needs. In addition, there is a consultancy service towards other units at Hässleholm Hospital and towards primary care in our catchment area.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must be a licensed physician with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare and have specialist competence in rehabilitation medicine. You are also welcome to apply if you have other specialist competence relevant to the position, for example in general medicine, geriatrics, or orthopedics, and a special interest in rehabilitation. Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. You must also have experience working in inpatient care, and we would appreciate if, in addition to rehabilitation, you have an interest in orthopedics and internal medicine.
