The Area of Activity (VO) Acute and Medicine has approximately 270 employees and encompasses a broad internal medicine practice within pulmonology, cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, endoscopy, and neurology. The activity includes a comprehensive specialist clinic, an emergency department, three inpatient wards, and an innovation unit, the Ward of the Future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Specialist in Emergency Medicine for our emergency department. We offer a fixed-term assignment with good opportunities for a permanent position for the right candidate. Here, you will become a key person in an engaged activity characterized by high medical quality, a good work environment, and a clear patient focus.

Currently, there are five employed specialists in Emergency Medicine. The emergency department is a significant part of our outpatient activity and accounts for the largest inflow of our inpatients.

As a Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you hold the role of responsible physician for operations at the emergency department. We work in a non-hierarchical manner, with an inflow of medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients. The daily work involves, among other things, directing the flow, supervising junior colleagues, team leader on call, support to triage nurses, and contact with ambulances.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have a Swedish medical license with specialist competence in emergency medicine. Language skills in Swedish at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. Experience of emergency care within both medical and surgical patient flows is meritorious.

We see that you have a genuine interest in acute care and thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration. Furthermore, you are engaged and solution-oriented, and actively contribute to a good work climate. In addition, you have good communication skills and work with a clear patient focus.
