Torvallaskolan is a 7th-9th grade school with approximately 235 students. Our school is an inspiring workplace where we put the student at the center. Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include:

  • Actively contribute to the analysis and systematic development of operations towards our goals within knowledge, security, and well-being. In this work, you are particularly responsible for analyzing student results, extra adjustments, special support, and attendance to support the principal in systematic quality work.
  • You are a qualified conversation partner and advisor in pedagogical issues and further education for the entire school. You contribute knowledge about learning for students who need extra adjustments and special support.
  • Together with the student health team, you collaborate with staff, guardians, and external actors to ensure all students have good prerequisites for learning.
  • Together with staff, you remove obstacles in teaching and create a good learning environment.
  • You conduct pedagogical assessments and draw up and follow up on action plans.
  • You will bear significant responsibility for leading and documenting student health meetings and in these meetings, promote good cooperation between home and school.

Your Qualifications

Requirements

  • Licensed special needs teacher.
  • Previous experience of working in a school.
  • Good Swedish in both speech and writing.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of the school's steering documents and the ability to translate them into daily work.

Merits

  • Experience working as a special needs teacher in grades 7-9.
  • Good IT skills and experience working with digital tools are meritorious.

We are looking for you!

We see that you have good experience working towards set goals and following up on results regarding your work, and adjusting special needs interventions so that students reach their goals. You have a good understanding of students' different prerequisites and adapt interventions based on the individual's needs. You are clear in your relationships with students, colleagues, and management. You are a secure and stable adult. You have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues and drive the development of special needs work at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You have good structure and can create a clear plan for your special needs work.
