Do you want to be part of a team passionate about helping vulnerable children and young people, and driven by personal development?

Do you also want the opportunity to work at a company with exciting development prospects, where joy, engagement, and responsibility are key words? We are looking for a driven and engaged Placement Coordinator for our Children and Young People placement unit. Are you a person with strong social skills, experience working with people, and a passion for proactive work? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

About the role

As a Placement Coordinator for Children and Young People, you are a central figure in Humanas work. Your primary task is to act as the link between social services and our various operations to ensure that every child and young person receives a safe, stable, and individualized placement. You act as an advisory specialist to social services and are responsible for quickly analyzing complex needs against our wide range of solutions.

The location for this position can be at one of our offices in Sweden, preferably in Stockholm or further south. It is also possible to split your working time between home and the office.

In the role of Placement Coordinator, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving, assessing, and handling urgent and planned placement requests for the target group of children and young people (according to the Social Services Act and the Law of Voluntary Urgent Care). You match needs with different housing forms and interventions (Foster homes, Residential care homes, Supported housing, Open care).
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with social service case workers, acting as an expert support, and actively marketing Humanas competence and high-quality solutions.
  • Documenting cases, ensuring correct agreements, and following up on placements in dialogue with both social services and our operations.
  • Working proactively at trade fairs, own events, and conducting municipal visits.

This is a dynamic and eventful role that requires you to work in a structured manner, be decisive, and handle multiple cases in parallel, always with the best interests of the child in focus.

Who are you?

You are an engaged and solution-focused person driven by a strong desire to find the best possible solution for each individual. You thrive in relationship-building work and have the ability to handle a high pace without compromising on quality.

You enjoy working proactively and taking initiative.

We consider personal suitability to be an important part of this role.

For this position, you are required to:

  • Have relevant education in social work (Social worker, Social pedagogue, Behavioral scientist).
  • Have relevant education based on the tasks.
  • Hold a valid driver's license (Category B) and be willing to travel for work.
  • Fluently speak and write Swedish.
  • Be driven and self-motivated, capable of taking initiative.
  • Have a passion for working with people.
  • Be solution-focused, flexible, and enjoy proactive work.
  • Have experience working systematically in various systems.
  • Have good administrative skills.
  • Be able to work independently and in a team.
  • Have strong collaboration skills.
  • Be goal-oriented.

The following qualifications are also meritorious:

  • Experience working within social services or private care and support, especially with the target group of children and young people.
  • Experience in selling care and support services (highly meritorious).
  • Experience in other types of sales.

What happens next?

We encourage you to apply during the summer months as we review applications on a rolling basis and may fill the position before the final application deadline. Interviews will begin in August/September.

If you want to know more about the position or the recruitment process, you are warmly welcome to contact us!

We look forward to receiving your application!
