Helping people achieve better health is one of the most important missions one can have. At Södra Älvsborgs Hospital (SÄS), we are 3,700 employees with 120 different professions who contribute to this every day. Here, you will find security, career opportunities, a forward-looking spirit, and a strong sense of community.
About our open position
We offer you, as a General Nurse with us at Operation Unit 2, a responsible and stimulating job. The Business Area of Anesthesia, Surgery, and Intensive Care actively works with quality and business development, and we would be happy if you want to contribute your own thoughts and ideas.
As an Operating Room Planner, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the operating program in close collaboration with doctors and operating room staff. The role involves balancing available resources with patient needs, focusing on good care quality, efficiency, and working environment.
You have a helicopter view of the operations while working operationally in the daily planning process. The role requires good decision-making skills, prioritization, and the ability to quickly adapt planning based on changing conditions.
The role of Operating Room Planner is combined with work as a nurse on the ward. You meet our patients on the day of surgery and help with preparations for the operation. When the surgery is finished, you take responsibility for the patient's monitoring and discharge. The work requires close collaboration with other professional groups in the team around the patient.
Working hours are during daytime Monday to Friday, and with us, you will receive an introduction tailored to your needs.
