Do you want to develop in an international organization where medical quality, development, and innovation are in focus? We are now offering a Specialty Training (ST) position in Clinical Microbiology at Unilabs in Skövde!

THE ROLE

During your specialty training, you will gradually take on greater medical responsibility within clinical microbiology. You will gain a broad foundation, but also have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in any area of your choice.

As a customer-oriented organization, Unilabs collaborates closely with healthcare providers. In this role, you will engage in active dialogue with customers in both primary care and emergency hospitals to contribute medical expertise and support in their diagnostic challenges.

You will work in a team with colleagues to find better work processes and share your knowledge in a pedagogical manner. You will also be part of our national medical team, consisting of specialist doctors and ST-doctors in clinical microbiology. Areas of responsibility are divided within the medical group depending on knowledge, interest, and operations. This approach ensures that you receive extensive support from various competencies, even remotely, while sharing your knowledge with others.

Beyond the national perspective, we have medical expert teams within Unilabs at an international level. Here, the entire group, with operations in 14 countries, pools resources around subject-specific development issues, standardization, platform selection, and strategies for internal and external quality assurance and competence development.

You will have a supervisor throughout the entire ST period and report to the Senior Operations Manager for Microbiology Sweden.

THE CANDIDATE

At Unilabs, personality and attitude weigh as heavily as experience and competence. We are looking for someone who is curious and has an inner drive to develop our diagnostic services. You have an interest in development and thrive in the medical consultant role and in meeting with customers. You are communicative with very good collaboration skills both internally and externally. Furthermore, you are receptive and open to thinking new thoughts and are passionate about working with continuous improvements that benefit the patient, our customers, and our own operations.

We are looking for someone who is:

• A licensed physician.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Experience from laboratory medicine or infectious diseases is an advantage.

LOCATION

The position is located at Laboratory Medicine at Skaraborgs Hospital in Skövde. We work across regions, which means your colleagues are located at the laboratories in Eskilstuna, Skövde, and Stockholm.
