Regional Laboratory Medicine belongs to Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Area 4, and has a clear coordination mandate for the entire Region of Västra Götaland. The organization consists of the laboratory medicine activities at Södra Älvsborg Hospital, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Hospitals in the West, and NU Hospital Group.

Biomedical Analyst sought for Clinical Chemistry at Norra Älvsborg County Hospital (NÄL) and Uddevalla Hospital (NU Hospital Group)!

The Role

Clinical Chemistry has laboratories at both Uddevalla Hospital, which has lower volumes and focuses on elective care, and at NÄL, which is an emergency hospital where the majority of the laboratory activities are located. NÄL serves clients throughout the region, such as Närhälsan health centers, private health centers, and many other external clients. The department employs approximately 60 people, mostly biomedical analysts, as well as chemists, laboratory assistants, assistant nurses, nurses, and administrative staff.

The laboratory performs nearly five million analyses per year and has a broad analysis panel that is constantly adapted to current trends and medical developments.

The position is a permanent employment, with a six-month probationary period potentially applicable.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed biomedical analyst or who will graduate after the spring term 2026.
