About our workplace

Department 237 focuses on cardiology. Here, we treat patients with heart diseases such as heart attack, unstable angina, heart failure, and arrhythmias. We also have intermediate care beds where we treat patients who need a higher level of care but do not fully require intensive care. The department has 17 care beds and is divided into three groups based on care level:

• Cardiology side: Here, patients requiring telemetry monitoring are treated, and common diagnoses include atrial fibrillation and heart failure.
• HIA (Heart Intensive Care): HIA offers ischemia monitoring, and here we meet patients with heart attacks, unstable angina, pulmonary edema, or more serious arrhythmias.
• IMA (Intermediate Care): On our IMA beds, we treat patients who require closer monitoring. Common diagnoses on IMA include sepsis, ketoacidosis, intoxications, and respiratory failure.

You are given the opportunity for competence development in cardiology and emergency care, and we have regular internal training in various areas. For you who are a newly graduated nurse, we offer mentorship during your first year with us.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Base Year, which is our introduction program. The clinical base year is mandatory and lasts during the first year of your employment with us. The clinical base year includes lectures, nursing guidance, and practical training of your profession at the Simulator Center. In addition, it includes service on at least two different departments to broaden your competence.

In the event of recruiting nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish license/specialist certificate.
