About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Kungssten Health Centre, where approximately 25 dedicated employees work with the patient in focus. We are a unit with just over 8,000 registered patients. In addition to standard health centre services, we have an Elderly Team, a Women's Health Clinic, and a Hypertension Clinic.

Within the health centre, decision-making paths are short, and you will experience a very strong sense of community. Teamwork is something we value highly; we believe in participation in the processes that drive the business forward, and we strive together towards high-set goals. You will meet a work group of permanent general specialists who, together with other competent staff, continuously work to develop the business with a focus on quality, accessibility, and continuity.

The Health Centre and Child Health Centre are located at the foot of the Älvsborg Bridge in the Majorna/Linné district. Our geographical area spans from Western Gothenburg over Grimmered, Högsbohöjd, down to Mariaplan.

About You

You are a licensed doctor with permission to work in Swedish healthcare, and you have a genuine interest in primary care and completing your Specialist Training (ST) in General Practice. You master the Swedish language at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale – which means you can communicate confidently and clearly with both patients and colleagues.

We are looking for you who are curious, engaged, and confident in meeting people. You are sensitive and have a good approach – regardless of who is sitting in front of you.

For those who have trained as doctors abroad and have not completed the Basic Training (AT) in Sweden to obtain a medical license, the new regulations regarding Basic Service (Bastjänstgöring) from July 1, 2021, apply. Basic Service for Doctors (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of specialist training in the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means you need to complete BT before or as an introductory part of your ST.
