About the Department

The Department for Work and Welfare is responsible for areas such as individual and family care, labor market and employment, adult education, integration, refugee reception including unaccompanied refugee children, family law, support for people with disabilities, and budget and debt counseling.

As a Business Developer, you will belong to the Development Unit, where the department's central resources for change work and business development, premises supply, security, and board administration are gathered. We are a unit with approximately 15 employees with different competencies and assignments who support each other within the division's area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

As a Business Developer focusing on premises supply, you will drive, support, and carry out strategic and operational work with premises-related projects and assignments to support the department's operations.

The assignment primarily involves leading and driving premises-related projects, investigations, and assignments aimed at providing suitable premises for our operations based on the municipal corporation's acquisition, changes, or decommissioning of premises. The role also includes supporting the operations in certain security matters. You will have close colleagues who also work with premises and security issues for the department.

Examples of tasks that may be included in the role:

  • Map/inventory existing premises and needs for changes to meet the needs of operations and target groups,
  • Compile, process, analyze, and quality-assure the department's premises plan,
  • Represent the department in premises projects or other contexts where premises issues are discussed,
  • Participate in budget and investment planning related to premises supply,
  • Support and relieve operations in premises issues,
  • Conduct exercises and training in the security area as needed,
  • Provide support and advice on security issues such as alarms, threats, and violence as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a post-secondary education in project management or another relevant area/experience that the employer finds suitable for the assignment.

Work experience is a requirement, primarily through experience from working with operational premises, properties, strategic work, or other adequate experience for the role with us. It is meritorious if you have experience from project work, preferably as a project manager, and experience in coordinating and leading development projects, preferably with a focus on premises or security work.

As a Business Developer, you will work broadly across the entire department. To succeed in the role, we see that you have the ability to independently structure, plan, and carry out your work in an efficient manner.

As a person, you are solution-focused and have an easy time building trust.

The assignment requires good knowledge of Swedish and communicative skills to convey and present information and material to different target groups in speech and writing. Good computer skills are a prerequisite. We would like you to have experience within the welfare area and in public operations.

When appointing the position, great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

A requirement for employment is a approved security clearance with register check. The security clearance will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. The process of security clearance means that the recruitment procedure may take longer than usual.

Employment type: Permanent position.
