Kungsängsgymnasiet in beautiful Sala is looking for an experienced and dedicated German teacher. We prefer that you also have the qualifications to teach Swedish, or at least German in combination with another subject.

About the workplace

Kungsängsgymnasiet is a modern upper secondary school with approximately 480 students. We offer eight national programs as well as the Introductory Program. Our goal is for every student to succeed, and for three years we have received support from the Swedish National Agency for Education's initiative "Collaboration for the Best School".

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you will teach German on the national programs. The position involves teaching at the beginner, basic, and advanced levels, distributed across four groups. You will become part of a dedicated team and collaborate closely with colleagues within the program and subject groups, as well as with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). You will be part of the program team for the Economics Program.

We are looking for someone who

• Has the qualifications, pedagogical experience, and ability to teach German and an additional subject at the upper secondary level. We prefer that you also have the qualifications to teach Swedish at the upper secondary level.
• Has good collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and other staff.
• Is flexible, creative, and uses ICT in teaching.
• Personal suitability is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Is a certified teacher with qualifications in German for upper secondary school and an additional subject.
• Additional merit is given if you have qualifications to teach Swedish at the upper secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a positive, inclusive attitude.

Terms of Employment

Individual salary setting

Start date: August 10, 2026, or as agreed

A police certificate is required upon offer of employment. This is in accordance with the Act on Register Checks in School, Leisure, and Preschool Activities. The Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register, RPS 442.5 (14-01-14).
