About the workplace

Kungsängsgymnasiet is a high school with approximately 480 students. We offer eight national programs as well as the Introductory Program. Our goal is for every student to succeed, and for three years we have received support in our work from the Swedish National Agency for Education's initiative "Cooperation for the Best School".

Students feel safe and enjoy being at the school, which is reflected in our safety surveys. We have a high proportion of qualified teachers. At our school, it is important that both students and staff are seen and that students receive the support they need. We actively work to create a safe and inclusive environment where everyone is given the opportunity to develop and reach their goals.

Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to contribute to our student health team and work closely with students and teachers. The student health team consists of a counselor, school nurse, special education teacher, student support staff, and school counselor (SYV).

Your responsibilities include special pedagogical tasks such as assessments, creating action plans, supporting students in small groups as well as in the classroom, coaching conversations, supporting and supervising teachers/teams regarding general and specific dilemmas, organizational planning, motivating and supporting students, and providing structural support. You should be prepared to support students in several different subjects.

We are looking for you who have experience in assessment and who can identify which interventions are needed and then implement these interventions in practice.

• Have experience with student learning at the high school level.
• You are engaged and interested in collaborating with colleagues and driving projects at the school that benefit students' knowledge development.
• It is important that you have good pedagogical skills and know what inspires and engages students in learning based on their different needs, and that you can work together with teachers on the development of teaching.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who have a degree in special education, preferably with a focus on mathematics, and have broad experience and competence in learning and teaching at the high school level.
• You should have a solid interest in working with inclusive learning environments.
• You are well-versed in the many different needs of students and what is required to meet these needs well within the framework of the high school's prerequisites.
• You have the ability to motivate and find new paths/solutions to help students reach their goals.
• Personal suitability is of great importance.

Terms of Employment

Individual salary setting

Start date: August 10, 2026, or as agreed

A police record extract is required upon offer of employment. This is according to the Act on Register Control in School, Leisure, and Preschool Activities. The Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register, RPS 442.5 (14-01-14).
