You will have a meaningful role where you follow and support a student throughout the entire school day. You will become a key person in creating safety, participation, and the best conditions for a positive start to school and continued development.

Your responsibilities

The work involves providing individually adapted support to a student starting in grade 1, both during school hours and in the after-school care activities in the afternoons. As a student assistant, you follow the student through the entire school day and support them in lessons, during breaks, transitions between activities, and during after-school care activities. The support is tailored to the student's individual needs and aims to create good conditions for learning and participation.

In this role, you work closely with the student to promote safety, structure, and a conducive learning environment, while encouraging independence. You collaborate with teachers, after-school staff, and other school personnel to ensure that the student receives cohesive and effective support throughout the day. Through a present and attentive approach, you contribute to creating a safe and inclusive school environment where the student is given the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have a completed upper secondary education and experience working with children and young people. If you are educated as a childcare worker, student assistant, teacher assistant, or similar, it is a positive factor.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and professional in your approach. You take responsibility for your work, work independently, and have the ability to structure and drive your work forward. You are flexible and can adapt to changed situations and needs. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and build positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We also value that you have pedagogical insight and understanding that people learn and develop in different ways, as well as the ability to adapt your support and communication based on the individual's prerequisites.

Before you can be employed, you need to show a clean extract from the police record.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of residence together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
