DFDS Logistics Contracts is a full-service terminal within contract logistics located in Arendal, with immediate access to Gothenburg's outer ports. The terminal's largest customer is AB Volvo. The operations include transshipment (so-called cross-docking), storage, repair, and cleaning of packaging.

About the role

At the terminal's Sort & Wash department, we handle the repair, washing, and sorting of packaging. The department consists of both manual and automated tasks. We have, among other things, a workshop where we manually repair different types of pallets, a fully automated washing line for plastic crates, and a robot park for sorting pallets and collars.

As a maintenance technician, you are responsible for ensuring that our automation, machinery, and tools function optimally. You work both preventively and reactively to minimize downtime and ensure stable and efficient production.

The role primarily involves:

• Troubleshooting and rectifying unexpected operational disruptions.
• Working proactively with preventive maintenance.
• Maintaining regular contact with external technicians, electricians, and suppliers.
• Collaborating closely with team leaders, foremen, and other maintenance technicians.
• Planning and coordinating work together with the team.
• Managing inventory and purchasing of spare parts.
• Participating in regular production work when needed.

You will become a central part of the team and a key person in ensuring that production can proceed as planned.

We are looking for someone who has

• A strong interest in technology and automation.
• A high school education.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Forklift license A+B.
• Post-secondary technical education or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of welding.
• Experience from working in similar roles.
