Do you want to take on an important role at our facility and help develop maintenance work from the ground up? We are now looking for a Maintenance Technician for our hazardous waste facility – a role where you will have significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence both working methods and priorities.

About the facility

Our facility in Gothenburg (Skarvik) specializes in the handling of hazardous waste. The operations are divided into bulk and piece goods handling and are characterized by a complex process environment with high demands on safety, quality, and availability. Here, you become part of a business where proper material handling is crucial. The facility is facing several investments and development projects where you will have the opportunity to contribute to building and developing the maintenance work.

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician with us, you play a central role in ensuring stable and safe operations in our business. The role is new at the facility, which means you will have the opportunity to help shape how we approach maintenance moving forward, both in daily work and in how we structure our maintenance over time.

You work closely with production, primarily within our bulk operations, where you are responsible for planning, prioritizing, and following up on maintenance tasks. A large part of the job involves coordinating and leading external suppliers, acting as the link between contractors and internal operations.

The role is practical and varied, and you work both operationally at the facility and together with suppliers to ensure that equipment and processes function as they should. This can range from simpler measures to coordinating more complex interventions.

Examples of tasks

  • Plan, prioritize, and follow up on maintenance work at the facility
  • Perform maintenance and repair work such as replacing pumps, valves, or other equipment that breaks down
  • Monitor operational disruptions and contribute to improvement measures
  • Ensure that work is carried out according to current safety requirements and procedures
  • Participate in the work to develop and structure maintenance at the facility

Who are you?

You thrive in a role where you take responsibility, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You are solution-oriented, have good judgment, and are confident in setting requirements in dialogue with external suppliers. As a person, you are collaborative and contribute to good cooperation both internally and externally. You are flexible and open to change, and are motivated by working in a business that is under development.

Qualifications

  • High school education
  • Category B driver's license
  • Experience in maintenance work and/or mechanical work
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

  • Experience from the process industry
  • Chemical understanding or experience from operations involving chemicals

We offer you

With us, you will work in an exciting and socially important industry alongside competent colleagues. We offer:

  • A varied daily routine in a technically interesting environment
  • Opportunity to influence and develop maintenance work
  • Introduction and good development opportunities
  • Collective agreement, competitive conditions, and secure benefits
