We are looking for a Project Manager for Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration).

This is a consultancy assignment. The location is Gothenburg.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

We are seeking a Design Coordinator and Construction Manager (Buildings) for one of Sweden's largest ongoing infrastructure projects. The assignment is linked to the expansion of a new commuter and regional train tunnel with underground stations in central Gothenburg. The role is responsible for driving and coordinating the design of the station and building parts within the project, as well as ensuring that production is carried out efficiently, safely, and according to set requirements regarding time, cost, quality, and function.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for safe and efficient design and production with a focus on time, cost, and quality.
• Coordinate stakeholders, technical consultants, and review processes, and support project management in design matters.
• Lead and coordinate design meetings and collaborate with installation coordinators, architects, and BAS-P (Construction Environment Coordinator).
• Ensure compliance with authority requirements, legal requirements, construction safety requirements, and necessary permits.
• Identify, handle, and follow up on risks, deviations, and quality documentation throughout the various stages of the project.
• Perform checks, synths, and follow-ups, and participate in environmental and occupational health and safety rounds.
• Follow up on the contractor's work, including diaries, schedules, construction documents, invoices, and variation order management.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and experience feedback within the project organization.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Project Manager or another position deemed equivalent by the client in building construction*. The professional experience must not be older than 10 years.
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Construction Manager or another position deemed equivalent by the client in building construction*. The professional experience must not be older than 10 years.
• At least 4 years of experience in the construction of public facilities** as a Project Manager or Construction Manager or another position deemed equivalent by the client.
• At least 2 years of professional experience from at least one large project regarding building construction* where the contract sum is at least 300 million SEK.
• At least 1 year of experience from projects* in a metropolitan area*** in the role of Project Manager or Construction Manager or another position deemed equivalent by the client.
• Must have experience working in both execution and general contracting.
• Experience from at least three assignments where the consultant has acquired good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act as well as good familiarity with formal handling of processes and permits. Equivalent requirements for Competency K (Control Responsibility).
• Must be proficient in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
• Must hold a Category B driver's license.

*Building construction in this procurement refers to a multi-dwelling building or premises.

** Public facilities in this procurement refers to premises intended for and used by the general public, such as sports facilities, libraries, theaters, bus and railway stations, restaurants, and shops.

***Metropolitan area in this procurement refers to a municipality with at least 200,000 inhabitants, of which at least 200,000 inhabitants are in the largest urban area.

Merits

• You have experience of building construction in a station environment in the role of Project Manager or another position deemed equivalent by the client for at least the equivalent of a full-time position.
• You have experience coordinating several consultants in the same assignment in the role of Project Manager or another position deemed equivalent by the client for at least 1 year. Experience refers to the equivalent of a full-time position.
