We are looking for a business-oriented Building Appraiser with a focus on reuse

The construction and real estate sector is facing its biggest transformation ever. We see enormous potential in utilizing materials that are already available, and we are now looking for you to be our key person in making reuse a standard practice.

As our new Building Appraiser, you will be the face of the company towards, for example, construction companies, contractors, and municipal entities. Your role is to identify the potential in existing buildings and lead the process for inventory, valuation, and reuse of building materials.

Your role and responsibilities

This is a proactive role where you combine technical expertise with business development. You will work closely with our clients to demonstrate both environmental and economic benefits of reuse.

• Inventory & Valuation: Conduct thorough site visits to assess the condition, quality, and potential for reuse of materials.
• Business Development: Actively seek out and build relationships with construction companies, contractors, and municipal real estate companies. You will sell our services and show how we create value in their projects.
• Consulting: Be the obvious expert who guides the client through the entire process – from demolition planning to finished reuse.
• Networking: Create and maintain collaborations that make us the preferred partner in circular construction.

We are looking for someone who knows materials inside and out

An academic engineering degree is not necessarily required to succeed in this role. The most important thing is that you have a solid understanding of construction processes and material knowledge from practical work.

We believe you have experience from, for example:

• Construction Production: You have worked as a foreman, carpenter, demolition contractor, or project manager and know how to assemble and disassemble building components.
• Property Management/Operations: You have worked with maintenance and renovation and have an eye for what is worth preserving and reusing.
• Building Trade or Material Sales: You have a good eye for material quality and understand the market value of different building products.
• Recycling Industry: You have worked with waste management or environmental inventory and now want to take the step to focus on reuse rather than recycling.

• You understand building technology: You understand the difference between demolishing and dismantling. You know what is required for a material to be functional and safe for future use.
• You have business drive: You understand that reuse is not just an environmental issue – it is a business opportunity for our clients. You can calculate the value, explain the logistics, and sell the idea of circular flows.
• You are a "doer": You thrive on construction sites and in properties, are not afraid to get your hands dirty, and can hold a credible dialogue with everyone from site managers to property owners.
• You are a driven relationship builder: You are comfortable reaching out, networking, and giving presentations. You see every meeting as an opportunity to inspire change.
• You have a proactive mindset: You thrive in an outward-facing role and are motivated by achieving set goals and seeing concrete results from your work.
• You are solution-oriented: You see opportunities where others see waste. You have the ability to explain complex environmental issues in a simple and business-like manner.
• Communicative: You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, which is necessary to act professionally towards our customers.
