Project Manager – Industry / Water & Wastewater – Gothenburg

Sibe Construction is currently looking for a Project Manager on a contract basis, based in Gothenburg.

On behalf of our client, we are now looking for a business-minded and driven Project Manager who wants to lead projects within industry and water & wastewater (VA)!

You will become part of an established Nordic group with approximately 1,300 employees, while working in a company where decision-making paths are short, engagement is high, and every employee has the opportunity to make a difference.

The location is in Gothenburg, and the projects are primarily carried out in the Gothenburg region and surrounding areas.

About the role

As a Project Manager, you have overall responsibility for planning, leading, and executing construction projects from start to final delivery. You work closely with clients, site management, and production organizations, playing a central role in ensuring that projects are executed with good profitability, high quality, and satisfied customers.

The role involves significant personal responsibility and suits you if you thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where you have the opportunity to combine technology, business, and leadership.

We are looking for you who have a strong business sense and a good understanding of economics and calculations. You see the connection between production, planning, and profitability and have the ability to make business decisions throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Examples of responsibilities

• Lead and drive construction projects from planning to completion.
• Responsible for economics, follow-up, and project profitability.
• Work with calculations, forecasts, and financial control.
• Build and develop long-term customer relationships.
• Coordinate internal and external resources in projects.
• Ensure structure, planning, and progress.
• Work closely with both public and private clients.
• Contribute to the development of working methods and project management.

We are looking for you who

Have experience driving construction projects and feel confident in a role where both business and production are in focus.

You have likely worked as:

• Project Manager within water & wastewater and infrastructure projects
• Site Manager within earthworks and infrastructure
• Contracting Engineer with significant personal responsibility

We would appreciate it if you have experience from infrastructure, earthworks, industry, or water & wastewater projects, but most importantly, you have a good understanding of production, a strong personal drive, and a desire to create successful projects together with customers and colleagues.

We are particularly looking for a person who:

• has a solid practical background in piping, mechanics, or industry,
• has taken the step forward into project management,
• has experience with contracting projects within the process industry,
• is business-minded and has worked with calculations and customer dialogue,
• has strong technical knowledge and a good ability to build trust with both customers and installers.

You do not need to be a university-educated engineer to succeed in this role.

We place much greater emphasis on your experience from production, your business acumen, your drive, and your ability to create results than on your educational background. However, you need to have good administrative skills.
