Our Technical Administration is now looking for a Traffic Engineer on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for traffic investigations, wayfinding, and traffic management plans. The role also includes work with traffic regulation, traffic assessments, traffic safety, and the design of traffic measures in streets, pedestrian paths, and cycle tracks. The work involves significant contact with municipal residents regarding traffic issues, and you will represent the municipality in various contexts.

The responsibilities also include issuing statements, answering questions, providing information, and receiving feedback from authorities, property owners, businesses, and the general public.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have at least a couple of years of experience working as a traffic engineer in a municipality, or experience in similar work. You have a university education with a focus on traffic engineering, road and community planning, or have acquired knowledge through many years of work that the employer deems equivalent. A strong interest in traffic engineering work is required for the role.

As a person, you are meticulous and have good collaboration skills. You are driven and skilled at creating efficiency in your work, and you thrive working both independently and in a team. Being able to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is important. Additionally, a Class B driver's license is required.

Merits

  • Experience with road work and good knowledge of traffic legislation.
  • Familiarity with municipal operations and work in politically governed organizations.

  • Start Date: As soon as possible, according to agreement.
  • Working Hours: Daytime.
