About the position

We at Olivia are looking for 2 assistants who want to work as casual staff for our client in Åkersberga. As a casual assistant, you work when regular assistants are absent due to vacation or illness. During the summer of 2026, there are good opportunities to work more shifts. We are looking for you who can work flexible hours, both weekdays and weekends.

The working hours vary between weekdays and weekends:

  • 08:00–15:30
  • 07:00–13:00
  • 15:00–21:00
  • 21:00–07:00 Awake night

Start date is by agreement, and we would prefer that you can start training immediately.

About the client

The client is a 66-year-old woman with an interest in walking, quizzes, and music. The client needs your help as an assistant in their daily life due to a stroke. There are assistive devices in the home, e.g., electric wheelchair, lift, and shower chair.

The duties are as follows:

  • Support with daily routines and household chores
  • Mobility assistance
  • Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and meals
  • Practical support in daily activities

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who enjoy working with people and who have a genuine ability to put others' needs first. You are a warm and empathetic person with good social sensitivity, seeing and acknowledging the individual behind every situation. At the same time, you are solution-focused and proactive – you take responsibility, see what needs to be done, and act with security and care. Of course, you are also reliable and someone who can be trusted greatly in everyday life.

The client appreciates coming up with activities together with their assistant. Therefore, it is a plus if you share the joy of doing things together and contribute positive energy.

There is also a cat in the home, so it is important that you are not allergic.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a personal assistant or within healthcare and social services
  • Not be allergic to fur animals (cat lives in the home)
  • Be able to work during the summer of 2026
  • Work varying hours, weekdays and weekends

Merits:

  • Driver's license and access to a car
  • Experience with stroke

Employment level: We are looking for 2 casual staff on an as-needed basis. During the summer, there is an opportunity to work 55%, and thereafter, a 42% employment may become relevant.

Start date: Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

Things to consider before applying:

A prerequisite for starting employment at Olivia is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID and submit a certificate of personal details (personbevis) as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the certificate of personal details from the Swedish Tax Agency's website.

Due to the fact that the position may include solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Swedish Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so the order should be placed in good time.
