Thorax Centre provides highly specialized heart and lung surgical care, as well as care within the areas of invasive electrophysiology, pacemakers, ICD/CRT, invasive cardiology/PCI, and TAVI. Approximately 200 employees work within the clinic on care, intensive care, and radiology departments, as well as in outpatient and surgical operations. We have a broad and varied workload and conduct both emergency and planned activities. We are a professional knowledge-based organization characterized by high care quality, a desire for development, responsibility, and participation. Here, thoracic anesthesiologists, thoracic surgeons, cardiologists, and thoracic radiologists work together.

The catchment area for the highly specialized care corresponds to approximately 330,000 residents.

The workplace is unique with its multidisciplinary structure, which involves daily conferences, short decision-making paths, and collaboration regarding patients within the clinic's own framework.

About the Job

Usual duties for a specialist physician in thoracic anesthesia with duty shifts at Thiva (Theatre Intensive Care Unit), Operation, and on-call duties. There is an opportunity for a shared position with duty shifts also within general anesthesia at the Anesthesia Clinic.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in war-time positions (krigsplacering).

Some of our positions are security-classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). Applicants who are suitable for employment must provide an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record register prior to employment.

About You

We are currently looking for an anesthesiologist, senior consultant, or specialist physician. Either you have worked for a few years as a thoracic anesthesiologist and possess competence at the on-call level, or you are a fully qualified specialist in anesthesia and are interested in further specializing within thoracic anesthesia. You are a secure and stable person with good collaboration skills and a structured work approach.
