About Us

The Thorax Centre provides highly specialized cardiac and thoracic surgical care, as well as care within the fields of invasive electrophysiology, pacemakers, ICD/CRT, invasive cardiology/PCI, and TAVI. Approximately 200 employees work within the clinic on care, intensive care, and radiology departments, as well as in outpatient and surgical operations. We have a broad and varied workload, conducting both emergency and planned activities. We are a professional knowledge-based organization characterized by high care quality, a willingness to develop, responsibility, and participation. Department 55 is a thoracic surgical department that works with pre- and post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgical care.

Patients who have undergone invasive electrophysiological procedures, ICD/CRT implantations, invasive cardiology/PCI, TAVI, and medical cardiology come to us. We also offer staffing at the Thorax Admission and Day Care Department. Patients come here for preparation, admission, treatment, and aftercare in connection with surgery and/or treatment.

An employment with us means that you will have access to scheduled training initiatives. We have two Instruction Nurses who work with introduction and competence-enhancing activities for step-by-step development.

About the Job

The tasks at Department 55 consist of pre-operative preparations, post-operative care of heart and lung surgery patients, cardiological care, and the use of medical technical equipment such as telemetry and Topaz drainage. You will have the opportunity to broaden your nursing profession as we care for patients with varying conditions who have undergone different procedures and treatments, both emergency and planned.

With us, you will receive an individualized introduction including mentorship.

About You

We are looking for you who are, or will shortly become, a registered nurse. If you have previous experience in thoracic surgical care or further education, it is an advantage.

We see that you have good cooperation skills and contribute to creating a good work climate. We value that you are positive and have a humble approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
