We have a need for casual staff within elderly care, where you can make a difference.

Working as a casual staff member means you work on an as-needed basis. You are booked by the Staffing Unit via Time Care Pool and perform your duties at our facilities in Sölvesborg Municipality.

This job suits you if you want to work with people in need of support and can work irregular hours and step in with short notice. With us, you support our users in their daily lives in various ways. Within elderly care, you can work in home care services or in specialized housing.

Home Care Services

Home care services operate from premises in central Sölvesborg and in Mjällby. In home care, you visit people who live in their own homes but need help with daily tasks.

Specialized Housing

Sölvesborg Municipality has three specialized housing facilities: two in central Sölvesborg and one in Mjällby. In specialized housing, you work on-site with elderly residents who need more continuous support.

Job Responsibilities

Tasks may include assisting with personal care, meals, cleaning, activities, walks, and shopping. You help create security and community and contribute to a meaningful everyday life for everyone you meet. Our operations are centered around the individual's needs. No two days are the same, and you go home with the feeling that you have done something truly good that makes a difference for people every day.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, weekend, and/or night.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are responsible, flexible, structured, and focused on the user's needs. You enjoy collaborating, taking initiative, and contributing positive energy. It is important that you have a good and respectful attitude towards users, relatives, and colleagues.

We place great importance on who you are as a person; your willingness to learn and your engagement are more important than experience. Education or experience within healthcare and social care or child and youth activities is meritorious but not a requirement.

Documentation and communication are important parts of the daily work, so you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. If you lack a passing grade in Swedish at the upper secondary level, a language test will be used to ensure competence. The recruiting manager may decide that a language test should be used even if there is a passing grade.

To work in home care services, you must be able to cycle or have a B-driver's license for a manual gearbox. You also need to be accustomed to using a mobile phone, as both documentation and driving schedules are handled digitally.

Employment Terms

• Type of Employment: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 11 days - 3 months.
• Start Date: Start date is ongoing.

According to the Act (2026:43) on register control when working in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities, you must be able to show an extract from the criminal record register when offered employment.
