Elderly care residences provide a secure living environment for seniors with significant daily care and support needs, as well as individuals with dementia. We operate eight elderly care facilities located both centrally and in our surrounding suburbs. This operation is part of the Health and Care Sector, Skövde Municipality.

Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want a challenging and developing job. In the role of Assistant Nurse with us, you have the opportunity to help create the best living environment for our residents. Our work is based on our keywords: security, responsibility, and respectful treatment, and you are a significant and important part of the resident's well-being. You work diligently and professionally with the resident, in collaboration with the rest of the work team. This also involves working for good cooperation with other professional groups and relatives.

As an Assistant Nurse, you are responsible for ensuring that our residents receive social support and care, guidance, health care, and activation based on their individual needs. The work also includes service tasks, such as preparing simple meals, dishwashing, laundry, and cleaning. The assignment also includes performing delegated and prescribed medical care tasks, according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).

Documentation in our systems is also an important part of the work.

Within the Health and Care Sector, we work flexibly between the different units. This means that you will also work shifts on other wards and in other elderly care facilities than the one you normally work in.

Qualifications

To work as an Assistant Nurse with us, you need to have a completed upper secondary education from the Health and Care Programme or equivalent. Skövde Municipality is a Finnish-speaking administrative area, and for this position, it is a requirement that you speak the Finnish language.

It is meritorious if you have had other similar work, preferably with a special focus on dementia, elderly care, or welfare technology, as well as previous experience with delegated tasks.

As a person, you need to be responsible and service-oriented, placing the individual's needs at the center. You are good at collaborating with colleagues, residents, relatives, and other partners both within and outside your own organization. We believe that we build a better operation through collaboration and development together with others. You have an easy time building relationships and you have a respectful approach.

In this role, it is important that you can communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish and Finnish, as you and the resident need to understand each other, but also to be able to perform documentation. You are computer literate and preferably have experience with social documentation.
