Your Role

Our team is growing, and we are looking for you who want to help design and take responsibility for the system installation in our flying vehicles. You will join a wonderful and engaged design team of 12 people working on Saab's flying products, such as the Gripen and T-7. You are offered a fun and interesting job where you will help design the electrical schematic basis for the installation of the entire electrical system in the aircraft.

In the role of Electrical Schematic Designer, you will work with great freedom, where you are responsible for how you plan and structure your work. Here you will also step into a role where, together with colleagues, you will drive improvements and develop our methodology, while gaining broad product knowledge and communicating with other areas within the Gripen business unit.

As an Electrical Schematic Designer, your main tasks will include:

• Design of system and wiring schematics, primarily using the Siemens Capital tool.
• Close collaboration with systems engineers and other design areas to integrate the various subsystems into a complete system.
• Participation in studies for introducing new functionality in our existing products and new concepts.
• Support to production and our customers with operational aircraft.

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Schematic Designer who wants to be part of a technically advanced and innovative team. You have a solid background in electrical and cable design and are accustomed to working with complex system solutions and ensuring that the right requirements are captured in a timely manner.

As a Senior Electrical Schematic Designer, you have a systematic and structured work methodology, but you are also flexible and adaptable. You thrive in a role where you collaborate closely with both team members and other departments. Your experience and analytical skills enable you to take responsibility in the development process and contribute to effective solutions.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Several years of experience in electrical, cable, or electronics.
• Relevant education, e.g., University College degree or Civil Engineer degree.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious qualifications include:

• Experience with CAD systems, preferably Siemens Capital.
• Background or interest in aviation and the aerospace industry.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.

Structural and System Installation Design consists of eight sections, with a total of approximately 130 employees. Our shared responsibility is to develop and integrate all the functions our products need to be a world-class fighter aircraft system.
