Bromma District Administration is one of the city's eleven districts. Bromma is located close to central Stockholm and by Lake Mälaren with its beautiful green nature.

Brommagården and Traneberg are care and nursing homes for people with dementia. The operations are characterized by stability, involvement, and high competence. Brommagården is located in a scenic park near Bromma Church, and Traneberg is near Alvik. Our operations are based on holistic thinking, openness, respectful treatment, and responsibility. The elderly person's integrity and right to self-determination are obvious prerequisites for our work, so that the elderly person feels involved in their daily life and in their care and nursing. We place great emphasis on a good reception of the elderly person and their relatives in various meetings. We work in multiprofessional teams and take part in the elderly person's life story to create security, meaningfulness, and a sense of coherence. We strive for good relationships with relatives and see them as a valuable resource in our work, thus placing great emphasis on good treatment of the elderly person and their relatives.

Your role

As a nursing assistant, you shall provide good care, social care, and service efforts to the elderly according to decisions from the assistance handler. You shall help and support care recipients in daily life to promote their functional ability and help with care recipients' social contacts. You shall be responsible for ensuring that the elderly person participates in various activities and receives stimulation for their well-being, as well as offering the elderly person the opportunity to spend time outdoors. You shall also have contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and social documentation. You must also follow the routines and regulations that exist at the workplace.

Your competence and experience

You must have a protected professional title as a nursing assistant.

You must have worked in dementia care and nursing for at least 1 year. You must have experience in documentation. You must have experience in the profession.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities and good references. We need you who are secure, stress-resistant, and have personal maturity. You must also be service-oriented and sensitive to the needs of care recipients. You value differences and understand that different backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations can affect oneself and others in different ways. You have good cooperation skills and are happy to share your own knowledge and experiences, as well as being open to learning from others. You have empathy in the meeting with other people and have a genuine interest in working in the profession. You are expected to be flexible, as the work requires it.

Other

We are looking for hourly substitutes for day/evening and night shifts for both Brommagården and Traneberg care and nursing homes.

The values of elderly care permeate our operations, and you must be able to implement the values in your daily work.

A work trial will be applied to applicants who are called for an interview.

Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at looking at each person's competence and thus combating discrimination.

In the event of an interview, bring a Swedish/EU/EEA ID document or passport as well as relevant original documents for the position, educational certificates/diplomas, any issued license for the profession, certificates, or work permits.

To work for Stockholm City with elderly and adults with disabilities in their homes, you must show an extract from the Police's criminal record and suspicion register. You order the extract yourself, and it must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
