The Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Unit (AFE) is an independent unit that has been part of the Health Professions department since January 1, 2026. AFE provides occupational therapy and physiotherapy services to all operations at Södersjukhuset. Approximately 15 occupational therapists and 35 physiotherapists work at AFE. We are organized with two rehabilitation managers, one for occupational therapists and one for physiotherapists, as well as three unit managers responsible for the daily operations of four competence areas.

Job Description

Your responsibilities include conducting occupational therapy assessments and interventions within our outpatient care, where occupational therapists specialize in hand injuries. This involves assessing activity capacity and hand function following surgically treated injuries, as well as implementing measures based on your assessment. Tasks include hand training, orthosis fabrication, and follow-up of patient rehabilitation. Due to our extensive collaboration with Karolinska Institutet, student supervision (for term 5) may also occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in hand rehabilitation, primarily regarding surgically treated injuries. You are flexible, driven, results-oriented, and proactive in development.

Competency Requirements:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist
• Documented experience in hand rehabilitation
